The Gotter Hotel Apartments is a mixed-use development with commercial units on the ground floor and an 8-unit HOME affordable housing project on the upper floors. The Gotter Hotel development, located in Enterprise, Oregon was completed in 1995. The project was a partnership between Chrisman Development and Community Connection of Northeast Oregon. The project was funded by Oregon Housing and Community Services using HOME funding. The project involved a substantial renovation of the upper floors of the building which had been vacant for over 30 years. In 2004 the project entered into an agreement with Wallowa County Center for Wellness to house Chronically Mentally Ill tenants able to live independently with support services. This concept was very successful and continues to this day. The Gotter Hotel Apartments was placed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the development in 1993. The building, which was built in 1917, was selected due to the unique architecture and its historic place in the community. The project was sold in 2012.
