Recapitalized and renovated in 2011 using a private loan and financial resources provided by Oregon Housing and Community Services, Leisure Way Apartments serves individuals and households that are 62 years and older and/or disabled of any age and offers project-based rental assistance to all households. Renovations included major work on the building envelope, new windows, numerous energy-efficiency upgrades, updated unit interiors, appliances, building systems, and accessibility improvements. Today, residents at 50% area median income or below enjoy new attractive drought-tolerant landscaping, on-site laundry, off-street parking, and easy access to shopping, medical centers, public transportation, and other city amenities.
